			Functions of a Horseking® Hay Dispenser
		The daily time required for feeding the forage is entered into the computer. In the front walls of the feeders or flow system there are integrated sliding partitions which open or close the access to the forage. The horses are recognised on entry to the dispenser by their transponders. Several times a day at intervals they are allowed access to the forage, so that every horse can eat the exact amount he needs.

		With the Type A Hay Dispenser the partition is raised and the horses have access to the forage. The feed is dispensed via a chute. Large bales are placed on a slanted surface.
						With Hay Dispenser Type B the partition swings aside and the horses have access to the forage. Loose forage or large bales are simply placed on the approx. 20 cm high feeding surface.


		Uptake of fotage over a period of time
							The bars in the overview opposite correspond to the duration of the uptake of forage at the Hay Dispenser per hour. It is very clear that during the course of a day there are four main feeding times, which correspond to the eating behaviour of horses in the wild. In addition, the overview makes it very clear that horses also visit the dispenser to eat small amounts of forage outside the main feeding times. Only the feeding programme of the Hay Dispenser makes this natural type of feeding possible.
